Restorative treatment is recommended to replace or repair missing parts of your teeth. If your tooth is chipped, broken, experiencing dental decay, or has an older restoration which has worn down or failed, we offer a variety of solutions.
Fillings
One of the more common, predictable restorations. Fillings are used to replace small to medium amounts of missing tooth structure. Historically fillings would be made of gold or silver amalgam, we offer contemporary tooth-colored composite resin fillings which are biocompatible and can be put into your tooth in just one appointment.
Veneers
A veneer is an ultra-thin molding of porcelain that is custom created for your tooth and bonded to the surface of an affected tooth in order to restore it. They are most commonly used to restore teeth that are chipped or misshapen, although some people do like to get them for their cosmetic value.
If you think you need dental restoration treatment, we recommend that you speak to your dentist who will be happy to advise you which is right for your personal needs.
Crowns
Crowns are also a very common solution to larger amounts of missing, decayed, or weakened tooth structure. They cover, surround and reinforce the healthy tooth that remains. Crowns replace broken teeth and fill the missing space to allow for regular chewing and use. Crowns are made of strong materials like gold, porcelain or zirconia. Traditionally crowns take 2 visits to complete, but our practice has offered single visit 'Cerec' crowns for decades.
